Dr. Basseches received her veterinary degree from North Carolina State University in 2003. She then performed a rotating small animal internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Florida. She went on to complete a residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the University of Georgia. After working as a staff radiologist at Angell Animal Medical Center, Dr. Basseches traveled to New Zealand and Australia, where she enjoyed being a locum radiologist, working with amazing marsupials and other exotic species of the southern hemisphere. Dr. Basseches came to CARES as a locum as well, but so thoroughly enjoyed her time here, she decided to stay. Dr. Basseches spends as much time as possible outdoors taking pictures, hiking or running, gardening and exploring foreign destinations with the most demuffinicious dog in the land, Sprocket (a beginner agility wonder dog!). She is excited about the idea of having honey bees, is on a refrigerator pickle kick from excess garden bounty, and is always tweaking her recipe for homemade sauerkraut. She is available for consultations Monday through Thursday.
