Dr. Jennifer Adler obtained her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. After a year in Los Angeles for a small animal rotating internship, she then completed a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (subspeciality small animal internal medicine) in 2007. Dr. Adler enjoys helping pet owners truly understand their pet’s illness so they can actively participate in the healing process and make the best choices for their pet. She loves all things internal medicine, but particularly enjoys making lasting relationships with her patients and their caretakers. She likes to stay up to date on current research and looks to the least invasive options to obtain a diagnosis and plan. The internal medicine service at CARES offers comprehensive minimally invasive procedures including endoscopy, bronchoscopy, cystoscopy and laparoscopy.
Dr. Adler is the head of the Internal Medicine Service at CARES, and has been at the practice since 2009. She is also the Chief Medical Officer of the hospital as a whole.
Aside from taking care of Internal Medicine patients at CARES, Dr. Jennifer Adler enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children, and their dogs, Gertie and Tilda. In her free time she enjoys running, reading, the beach and home improvement projects.
