Dr. Overley-Adamson is a board certified veterinary oncologist. She graduated magna cum laude in 2000 from the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and also performed her internship, residency, and lectureship training at Penn. She then stayed on at Penn to teach, treat, conduct clinical trials, and train interns and residents until 2008, when she joined the team at CARES. She briefly considered a research career in tumor immunology, but her love of of her patients and their families led her down a different path. Dr. Overley-Adamson still participates in clinical research trials in conjunction with colleagues at several institutions, including the University of Pennsylvania, Drexel, and Texas A&M. She lectures at conferences and continues to write book chapters and papers. She also serves as Medical Director and Chief Oncology Consultant for Oncura Partners, LLC and as a Principle Clinical Investigator and consultant for practices and pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Overley-Adamson is a member of the Veterinary Cancer Society, the Veterinary Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association. When not at CARES, Dr. Overley-Adamson loves to spend time with her husband Terry, their two children, dogs Maxi and Louie, bird Bob, and the beta fish that never dies – Squishy Fishy.
